With improving connectivity each year, there has been a significant growth of internet users in important sectors such as education, healthcare, energy, and governance, and this has helped many low-income segments of the population and obsolescent businesses with new possibilities and opportunities. By 2016, smart phones usage and high-speed internet had become common in India.
