Can Magic Mushroom Psilocybins Be Used To Treat Depression?
Posted on 09/21/23
According to scientific evidence, magic mushrooms can heal depression. The chemical psilocybin has been cleared by the Food and clinical Administration (FDA) for use in a clinical trial for treatment-resistant depression. Psilocybin has been shown in studies to help people with treatment-resistant depression. The findings indicate that psilocybin ‘reset’ the brains of these people. One of the psilocybin experiments was led by Dr. Robin Carhart-Harris, who claims that “similar brain effects” occur with electroconvulsive therapy. According to research, two dosages of psilocybin can provide relief for up to five weeks. Separate trials demonstrate that a single dose of psilocybin can help cancer patients with anxiety and sadness. In contrast, many depressed patients must take antidepressants every day and/or visit therapy once a week to achieve comparable results. These types of treatment can also be maintained for years.
